A painter, sculptor and illustrator, Kloosterboer is best known for her hyperrealist still life painting. With exacting, photographically realistic detail, this work gives the illusion of three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface. Kloosterboer transitions from small, sharply focused close-ups to large, intricate life-sized compositions. Her work has been exhibited in 10 countries and been published in books, museum catalogs and international art magazines. Currently living and working in Belgium, Kloosterboer also has written several books on art. In 2010, she was named as one of the 100 most noteworthy women artists of the Low Countries.
